“Senioritis,” a term coined to describe a phenomenon that occurs during a student’s final year of high school or college, is said to cause a heavy decline in a student’s motivation and performance. As many teachers have observed, the majority of the school’s senior class has seem to come down with Senioritis. However, these traits have been present among the underclassmen as well. We surveyed Upper School students, asking them to rate their senioritis, junioritis, sophomoritis, and freshmanitis from 1 to 10 (1 being nonexistent and 10 being ready to drop out of school) to see if this hunch was correct.
