Cupid’s Kiss - Valentine’s Day Cookies

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons of salted butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup white chocolate chips
  • Pink chocolate chips
  • Dried Rose Petals
  • Edible Gold Leaf
  • Heart Sprinkles

 

Instructions

  1. Combine your flour, baking soda, butter, egg, vanilla extract, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms. 
  2. Gently stir the dough with white chocolate chips. Refrigerate the dough for at least 70 minutes. The dough should not stick to your hands when you roll it.
  3. Preheat the oven to 355 degrees.
  4. Scoop or roll the dough into balls. Place them on a baking sheet and put the others in the fridge. 
  5. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until your liking. Do not overbake.
  6. Let the cookies sit on the hot cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes, then gently remove them with a thin metal spatula to a piece of parchment paper on the counter.
  7. Let them sit until completely cool. Melt pink chocolate chips. 
  8. Dip cookies into melted pink chocolate to your heart’s content. Garnish with dried rose petals, gold foil, and heart sprinkles if desired.
  9. Put into the fridge for 20 minutes. Store in a sealed container. 
  10.  Enjoy with your valentine <3
