December Student of the Month: Kate Jasinski '24

Kate Jasinski is in her second year at AIS, and she serves as freshman Class President, a position in which she takes great pride. She is skilled at working with others both in the classroom setting and in her extracurricular pursuits, which include writing for The Wick and playing for Agnes Irwin’s JV volleyball and soccer teams. In addition to these activities, Kate enjoys painting and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. Her favorite subject is math, and she is a highly motivated student determined to overcome current obstacles to learning; Kate’s primary goal this year is to continue to achieve academic success, which for her means obtaining all A’s, in spite of her limited contact with teachers and peers and the other challenges of online school. When asked why she thought her classmates selected her as December Student of the Month, Kate replied that it was likely because she “likes being a leader” and her passion for leading has manifested in her presidential efforts to unite her grade as well as her everyday interactions with fellow freshmen.
