The End of Adobe Flash Player
Adobe Flash Player, owned by Adobe, is known by all as a way of streaming videos, audios, and multimedia such as video games without installing anything, according to the Adobe and the TechTarget websites. Flash Player is the program that gives you easy and quick access to all your favorite games and websites like Cool Math Games, Miniclip, and Kongregate. Recently you may have noticed a small discrepancy in the corner of these websites when running Flash Player, saying that it will be ending soon. This is called the Adobe Flash Player End of Life (EOL), as dubbed by the Adobe website. This EOL signals that Adobe will stop supporting Flash Player after the year 2020. This EOL was announced in 2017 to give developers time to switch from Flash Player to other open standards such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly, which were becoming better alternatives at the time. After the EOL, people will no longer be able to download Flash Player on the Adobe website. Adobe will not offer any more security updates, which is why the company strongly encourages people to stop using it. The website also warns readers about third party websites offering Flash Player, which may contain viruses or malware. Fortunately, in light of the situation, the massive website Cool Math Games will not shut down as confirmed by Polygon.
