If you haven’t been living under a rock, you probably saw all over the internet that Tame Impala had a concert in Perth, Australia. The maskless concert was on Friday, March 5, and was actually sold out! Fans all over the world arose in frustration of desiring to live in Australia, where COVID “does not exist.” Many artists such as Billie Eilish and Madison Beer have done virtual concerts, but it is not the same! Wanting concerts, parties, and the normal teenager experience back, some youths have started creating their own vaccine for the purpose of allowing teens to go to more social events.
Companies in the United States have started creating COVID-19 vaccines to stop the spread of the virus. These vaccines include Johnson and Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer. With the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine needing two doses that spread 3 weeks apart, these vaccines need time to take effect. Another large problem is that a person wanting to get the vaccine must be at least 16 years old, leading younger teens unable to get the vaccine. This opened the door for teenagers to band together and make a solution to this problem.
Enter the Partyizer, this vaccine specifically for people aged 13-19 years old is designed to “Partyize” teens. This will protect young people so they can go to parties, concerts and more. The FDA has officially approved the vaccine as of March 21 and there have already been over 100,000 doses distributed. Teenagers also designed the vaccine so that you will not get sick after you recieve it, unlike the other vaccines. The official goal of the Partyizer is to have all doses distributed by the end of May. This is just in time for summer, in order to “have the most epic summer ever” according to the creators of the vaccine, Bustin Out and Morris Better. The two hope that all teenagers will want to get the vaccine, as everyone “needs a good party, especially with the pandemic that has happened”. Scientists have worked hard with the creators to make this vaccine as effective as possible. Finally, the world has needed this!!!!!
