Durante el verano tuve la oportunidad de visitar el hermoso país de Belice. Originalmente volé allá con mi familia y aterrizamos en la ciudad de Belices. Después recogimos nuestro equipaje y corrimos al otro lado del aeropuerto para tomar un avión pequeño para viajar a una de las islas más pequeñas fuera de la costa del país. Cuando llegamos, hicimos cola donde los oficiales en el aeropuerto revisaron nuestros documentos. Aproximadamente a la mitad de todo el embarque de los pasajeros, uno de los oficiales dijo que el avión tenía sobrepeso y ya no podía contener más pasajeros. Por eso teníamos que coger un taxi para llevarnos al puerto deportivo. Allá esperamos casi dos horas por un barco. Finalmente llegó y gozamos un lindo viaje a la isla de Ambergris Caye. Durante las dos semanas que estuve allá, pasé el tiempo nadando, leyendo y disfrutando en la playa. Algunas de las actividades más destacadas en las que participé durante mi viaje incluyó visitar las ruinas mayas en la isla y bucear.
Over the summer I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful country of Belize. I originally flew there with my family and we landed in Belize City. We then gathered our luggage and ran to the other side of the airport to catch a small plane to travel to one of the smaller islands off the coast of the country. When we arrived, we stood in line where the officials at the airport checked our documents. About halfway through all the passengers boarding, one of the officers said the plane was overweight and could no longer hold any more passengers. That’s why we had to take a taxi to take us to the marina. There we waited almost two hours for a boat. Finally it arrived and we enjoyed a nice trip to the island of Ambergris Caye. During the two weeks I was there, I spent time swimming, reading, and enjoying the beach. Some of the highlights I participated in during my trip included visiting the Mayan ruins on the island and scuba diving.
