Journées de Patrimoine est une fête appartenant aux patries d’Europe. Inauguré en 1984 par le Ministre de la Culture Française, ça a commencé comme une seule journée en septembre pour montrer la richesse de France. Depuis 1995, une seule année après son début, la fête avait grandi à une fête à l’échelle européenne grâce au Conseil d’Europe. En 1992, il a été renommé “Journées de Patrimoine” et a eu lieu sur plusieurs jours. Ce n’était qu’en 2000 que le nom a finalement changé aux “Journées de Patrimoine Européennes,” avec plus de 40 pays participants. Dans le 21e siècle, pendant le troisième week-end de chaque septembre, les gouvernements divers d’ Europe ouvrent leurs portes à la publique pour explorer et célébrer l’architecture des domaines. Pendant seulement deux jours, des instituts, des châteaux, des musées, et des sites principaux qui sont généralement fermés sont ouverts au public à explorer. Chaque année, beaucoup de gens viennent pour faire le tour de 18,500 lieux ouverts et pour participer dans environ 29,000 événements qui sont offerts pour l’occasion.
The Day of Estates is a holiday belonging to the countries of Europe. Started in 1984 by the French Ministry of Culture, it began as a single day in September to showcase the incredible wealth of France’s heritage. By 1985, just one year after its debut, the holiday had grown to a European-wide holiday thanks to the Council of Europe. In 1992, it was renamed to “National Heritage Days” and was held over several days. It was not until 2000 that the name was finally changed to the European Heritage Days, with over 40 countries participating. In the 21st century, during the third weekend of every September, the various governments of Europe open their doors to the public to explore and celebrate the architecture of the estates. For two days only, major institutions, castles, museums, and usually prohibited sights are opened to the public to explore. This year, many visitors came to tour the 18,500 open places and participate in about 29,000 events offered on the occasion.
