This varsity athlete, captain, and marathoner has been a staple on the Agnes Irwin Soccer team. Lindsay Reidenbach is an amazing teammate, goalie, and a friendly face to see around the school. Following an incredible senior season, The Wick had the opportunity to interview her as she reflected on her incredible season.
Q: What is your number and position on the soccer team?
A: “I am #42 and a goalkeeper.”
Q: What is it like balancing being a student-athlete?
A: “Balancing being a student-athlete is definitely challenging, but I found ways to keep myself organized… [I am] able to be successful in both my sport and [in] school.”
Q: What is your traditional pre-game prep?
A: “Before games, I love to have team lunches and spend time with the girls! Before every game, we have our dance circle and it gets everyone super hype.”
Q: What inspired you to start playing soccer?
A: “I’ve been playing soccer for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always loved being part of a team and having that competitive nature. It’s always been such a huge part of who I am.”
Q: What was your favorite memory of the season?
A: “My favorite memory from this season is probably our trip to Maryland, where Nam and Hunter had to drive the buses [for] about three hours to get to our hotel. It was so fun spending time with everyone. I think my favorite part of that trip was our hibachi dinner, where we told the waiter it was Nam’s birthday, and then having Nam and Hunter ding-dong ditch us all night.”
Q: What are you looking forward to next season?
A: “I am super sad about being a senior and not having another season to play with these amazing girls and coaches, but I’m so confident that we are leaving the program in such good hands with all the girls, and I cannot wait to see everything they accomplish next year.”
