Hello From the New Editors-in-Chief

Dear AIS Community,

As we wrap up the end of the year for the Wick, we would like to introduce ourselves as next year’s co-editors-in-chief. Our names are Samantha Pierce and Rachel Avery. We began working together as deputy editors this year as juniors. Now, as seniors, we are ready to spring into action to make our favorite publication the most vibrant and collaborative community it can be.

In addition to our dedication to print journalism, we are excited to expand our Instagram account to better capture the personality and rich culture of our student body through posting on Instagram more frequently.

Additionally, we hope to have more opportunities for the student body to get involved–whether that be through guest articles or middle school competitions. The purpose of the Wick is to be a voice for Agnes Irwin, so we encourage all of our readers to contribute articles that reflect their interests. Interesting campus happenings, op-eds, and even photography are all fair game.

We know from experience that the feeling of seeing your words fill a newspaper page is like no other. If you want to contribute to the publication, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either of us at [email protected] or [email protected].

For the sake of journalism,

Samantha and Rachel
